History of the Capital District
The Capital District consists of the metropolitan area surrounding Albany, the capital of the U.S. state of New York. This includes both the cities of Troy, Saratoga, and Schenectady. As Pearson relocated here in 1830, there is much description of his surroundings which is contextualized through these resources.
