Rate of Travel, 1800 to 1830

From this image, you are able to see the length of time required to see how long it would take to travel to various places in both 1800 and 1830. By 1830, the time required had been cut in half in most instances, showing the prevalent use of new technology. It was also during this time that catalog shopping began, as it was possible to have things shipped in a 'short' period of time.
