Ramée's Campus Design

Resource added

Full description

After being hired to design the new campus for Union College in 1812, the architect Joseph-Jacques Ramée designed this drawing as his final plan in 1813. This allowed for the Union College campus to become the first comprehensively planned college campus in the United States . In this plan, both North and South College are displayed and were constructed, being put into use by students as early as 1814.
