Battle of Bunker Hill

The Battle of Bunker Hill was fought on June 17, 1775 and is considered to be the first major battle of the American Revolution. Although ultimately succumbing to the British, the battle gave considerable assistance to the cause pushed by the revolutionaries as about 450 Americans were killed, wounded, or captured compared to the total number of British, which was 1,054.
